Updating Software
LightShark software is regularly updated to include new features and bug fixes, software update files have the extension .lsupdt. It is possible to download the latest software versión from the following link:
It is possible to update the software using a USB memory stick or by uploading them directly through the web browser.
After downloading the latest fixture package, copy it to a USB memory stick and connect it to the USB Host port (on the LS_Core) or USB Data port (on the LS-1).
Connect to lightShark, open the File Manager.
Go to the “USB" tab and click “OPEN” and select the software update file.
LightShark will ask for confirmation to perform the software update.
This process can vary in duration depending on the type of import selected, importing via web takes twice as long as via usb.
Once the file import is finished the device will reboot to load the new software version.
If the update is done via web the procedure is the same as when importing a show file, just click "IMPORT" and when the iOS, Android, Windows... file browser is displayed, select the file and click OK.
You can check the integrity of the file downloaded from the LightShark community by verifying that the MD5 matches the one indicated.
