Exporting Files

LightShark incorporates a file manager from which it is possible to load, copy, save, delete and rename files. It is possible to export files from the LS-1 or LS-Core via USB stick or directly via web browser.

  4. If a USB stick is connected at the time of export, LightShark will ask where you want to export the file to, whether to the USB stick or to download the file directly through the Web browser.

If you choose the web option depending on the system you are using ( iOS, Android, Windows... ) the process is different however essentially you just have to choose the directory where you want to save the file.

Note that some Android devices may change the file extension by adding .txt when downloading the file in their file manager. You should remove the .txt extension, otherwise if you try to load it on other LightShark device the file will not be recognized.

In case of exporting files to a USB memory stick, it must be connected to the "USB Data" port (on the LS-1) or to the port labeled "Host" (on the LS-Core).

USB flash drives must be formatted in FAT32 or ExFAT.
